The festival is organized by the Mediterranean Organization in cooperation with local municipalities, chambers of commerce, and local folklore ensembles. The event will be covered by local and international media, press, and television. The mayor or deputy mayor of the host municipality, as well as representatives of participating groups, may be welcomed as official guests of the festival.

Afytos, also known as Afitos, is one of the most picturesque traditional villages on the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki, Greece. Built on a hill overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Toronean Gulf, the village is famous for its traditional stone houses, narrow cobbled streets, charming squares, and spectacular panoramic sea views. Afytos combines authentic Greek character with a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, offering visitors a wonderful selection of traditional tavernas, cafés, restaurants, and local shops. Its beautiful beach, clear turquoise waters, historic architecture, and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal destination for both cultural experiences and seaside relaxation.
