About Festival

Festival is organized by the Mediteranian Organization in cooperation with local municipalities, chambers of commerce and local folklore ensemble. The festival will be covered in the media by the local and international press and television. Mayors or the deputy mayors, from the cities of festival contestants, will be honored guests of the festival at the expense of the organizer.

Sardinia – the second largest island in the Mediterranean, famous for its breathtaking beaches, rugged mountains, and unique traditions. With a history that goes back thousands of years, Sardinia is home to the mysterious Nuragic civilization, whose stone towers (nuraghi) still stand across the island. The island combines stunning natural beauty with rich folklore: colorful costumes, traditional dances, and ancient music played on instruments such as the launeddas. Visitors will enjoy Sardinia’s warm hospitality, Mediterranean cuisine with fresh seafood and local wines, and the vibrant atmosphere of its towns and villages.

Sardinia is not only a land of history and tradition, but also of vibrant festivals and community gatherings that celebrate music, dance, and culinary art. Each town has its own local festivity where traditional folklore groups perform in colorful costumes, keeping alive the island’s cultural heritage. The island’s landscapes – from pristine beaches with turquoise waters to the wild, mountainous interior – offer visitors unforgettable experiences and a unique connection between nature and culture. This harmony makes Sardinia an ideal place to host an international folklore festival, blending local authenticity with global artistic exchange.
