About Festival
Festival is organized by the Mediteranian Organization in cooperation with local municipalities, chambers of commerce and local folklore ensemble. The festival will be covered in the media by the local and international press and television. Mayors or the deputy mayors, from the cities of festival contestants, will be honored guests of the festival at the expense of the organizer.
Venice – known as the “City of Canals,” is a mesmerizing destination renowned for its romantic waterways, historic architecture, and artistic heritage. Visitors can explore iconic landmarks like St. Mark’s Basilica and Square, the Doge’s Palace, and the Rialto Bridge while navigating the picturesque canals aboard gondolas or vaporettos. Lose yourself in the narrow winding streets (calli) and discover charming hidden squares (campi) while savoring authentic Venetian cuisine and experiencing the city’s unique atmosphere that combines history, art, and a timeless allure. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the vibrant markets, such as the Rialto Market, to witness the bustling local life and indulge in fresh produce and Venetian delicacies. Marvel at the craftsmanship of Murano glassmakers on the nearby island of Murano, or simply relish a serene sunset over the Grand Canal, leaving you enchanted by Venice’s unparalleled beauty and charm.
Treviso – a charming city in the Veneto region, often called a “little Venice” thanks to its network of picturesque canals, elegant bridges, and Renaissance palaces. The historic center is surrounded by medieval walls and offers delightful piazzas, frescoed churches, and cozy trattorias serving authentic Veneto cuisine. Treviso is also the birthplace of the world-famous dessert Tiramisù and home to the Prosecco wine region, making it a place where folklore, gastronomy, and tradition blend harmoniously. Folklore performances here add a vibrant cultural note to the city’s elegant atmosphere.
Verona – a UNESCO World Heritage city, immortalized by Shakespeare as the setting of Romeo and Juliet. Known for its romantic balconies, ancient Roman Arena, and beautifully preserved piazzas, Verona combines history, culture, and charm. The Arena di Verona, one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters, still hosts grand concerts and operas. Visitors can stroll along Via Mazzini for shopping, explore Juliet’s House, or enjoy local specialties like risotto all’Amarone. Hosting folklore performances in Verona offers participants the unique opportunity to perform in one of Italy’s most legendary cultural cities.
