Serbia
December 18 – 21, 2025
About Festival
“Etno Balkan” is an international ethno festival organized by Mediterranean Organization in cooperation with local municipalities, chambers of commerce, local ensembles, and other participants. The festival will be covered by local and international press and television. The mayor or deputy mayor of each city from which the festival participants come will be an honorary guest at the expense of the organizers.
At our ethno festival, exhibitors will be able to present, promote, and sell ethnic products such as souvenirs, ceramics, textiles, clothing, folk costumes, ethnic food and drinks, glass, silverware, bronze and gold, as well as cosmetics and perfumes, medicines, vitamins and minerals, canned fruit and vegetable products, herbal products, and more. At the stands of our ethno festival, guests will be able to taste organic products – 100% natural and healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, juices, dairy products, olive oil, and more.
The rich cuisine you will try offers unforgettable flavors that will transport you to Serbia. Traditional cuisine includes a refined mix of taste and aroma, developed over centuries under the influence of different peoples who passed through and lived in these regions. Among the specialties you will enjoy are cold soup tarator, banitsa, burek, traditional grill, goulash, white brined cheese, and more. The goal of our ethno gourmet festival is to preserve and share homemade and national culinary traditions, and to contribute to the development and expansion of friendship among different countries, traditions, and cultures.
Niš is a city in southern Serbia and the third largest city (after Belgrade and Novi Sad). It is one of the oldest settlements in Europe and the Balkans, founded in 279 BC and considered the gateway between East and West. From 1386 to 1877 Niš was part of the Ottoman Empire, and the famous “Skull Tower” and Niš Fortress are among the landmarks that remind us of this period. Niš is the birthplace of Roman Emperor Constantine the Great – the ruler known for the Christianization of the Roman Empire. In 2013, the city hosted the festive celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan.
